New Fire Element palette form NYX

Oh my goodness, Can you tell I JUST had to get my hands on this?!
All those warm tones a mix of shimmery ones about 5 and the rest in pigmented bright matte shades.
This is the FIRE Element palette from NYX costing £25. A bit pricey for NYX but I feel these new element shadows are worth the price point.

Star Family Review Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star came out with his new collection ''Star Family.'' The collection has shades named after him his partner and the dogs that they have. Out of the full collection like many others I only got a few shades and this time a skin frost.

'Fall Make up' Barry M review

So I picked up this make up palette from Barry M , A drug store off the shelf make up line that most of you know I have used many times in the past. It is a okay brand, with a okay price and don't test on animals.

YouTubers and Make Up Inspiration

Hey there cuties!
Today am sharing a few of my all time favoured you tube channels/ accounts. These are you-tubers I really like personally and follow. I thought some of you might be interested in the accounts and maybe you all have a suggestion of channels I need to check out too.

My all time loved you tuber is the channel 'itslikelymakeup'.
Jordie, I adore her so much she is such a button.I just love everything about her , I feel we could totally be gal pals haha! I guess I can relate to her a lot with also being a mom too and a cat mom, oh her cats are just so sweet they are Sphinx breed cats - all the love for them ! I love her make up and love her videos and follow her on most accounts. She also was in the nyx cosmetics face awards and was in the last of the runner ups. As I like nyx make up I find I get a lot of inspiration form her videos with the make up. She has been a bit quite with moving and all but I really adore her channel and content, she can do really creative make up to every day make up that I love so she is my top make up you tuber! So please check her out!

Secondly I like Sophie Li Ying,  her make up is very goth/ nu goth/ alternative and grunge. She uses a lot of make up brands I use myself. Such as Limecrime, Jeffree star and some Kat Von D. Oh and she also did a whole range of looks with Jeffree Stars Eye shadows ,So this was very useful for me . Also I like how her videos never go on and on and on with chat as some times that is to much with me. Simple straight to the point videos and great make up. Sometimes she will do other kinds of videos but make up ones are more her thing.

The next make up channel I follow is AtLeeeey
I enjoy her videos and make up get ready with mes. I used to follow her more as she used to use a lot of lime crime products but then stopped. I don't watch her as much as I used to but she is worth checking out.

I do follow many other make up channels such as Dupe That, Jeffree Star , Laura Lee and Manny MUA but the above are the channels I really like the best for different reasons but I think each one can bring something to the table for viewers.

Who do you like to watch on youtube?!

SugarPill and Limecrime Valentines sets

So this is kind of a late post but hey let's get to it...Valentines often bring out a fair amount of cute limited sets, So when Lime Crime and Sugarpill announced the sets they were bringing out , I saw the colours and fell in love with all the red tones that were used. However cause it takes a fair few weeks for any of the UK stockist to have them or on the other hand the shipping from the company direct it takes ages to finally get my paws on them. I also favour getting the brands within the UK to avoid customs.

So lets have a look at Sugar pill. This is a Eye Shadow Pallete that comes with 4 large size pans with really nice and ( my go to colours) am a sucker for those red shades. The set also comes along with a liquid matte lipstick is a stunning shade and cause they came as a set I had to have it . The eyeshadows are soft and buttery and the colour pay off is really good . I also have used these shades for Blush , Contour and Highlights so its a pretty usable pallet for me.

Caked Make Up - Review.

Okay so if you have been on my instagram you will or might have seen me post a few images of new make up, lipsticks. Yes. I am a lipstick addict. I love my lipsticks. My normal go to brands are Limecrime, Beauty Bakerie and Jeffree Star. But have you heard of Caked Make up , No? Well they are worth checking out!

This brand caught my attention on instagram . Caked Make Up a indie brand which might be why you have not come across them yet also they are based in the USA . The packaging was the one thing to get my attention and I think it was seeing a shade on Sugarpills instagram ( I also like them too .) that I found them via. Any way I looked at the website , They are Vegan and animal cruelty free and  have super cute packaging . Liquid matt lippy . Then I stopped and looked again it is not a liquid matt formula but instead a Fondant formula.  Now I was going to review this right away when I got my hands on my 1st ever one but over the past few months I collected the whole range .Which is  9 in total . I finally have them all and wanted to share them all with you and my review on them too.

So going back to the website would of meant ordering via USA but I was overjoyed to fine Cocktail Cosmetics got the range in stock so that saved me on customs and shipping waiting time- wooo! I started off buying the brighter shades as the light ones on the company website , the shades and swatches looked way to light and I was not so sure on them. Also I found it hard to get a good image of each colour swatch wise for myself . I got hold of Power Trip and right away the shade is one of my favourites . I loved the feel of the formula compared to the watery runny or clumpy feels from the other ones but I was worried on the drying time.

''Lip Fondants go on with a mousse-like texture and dry completely matte. Apply a thin coat & allow the product to dry down completely before adding additional layers. For the longest wear possible, avoid foods with oil.''

You really do need to apply it with a thin coat and let it dry , they do not take that long to dry but I wait until its completely dry before moving on. They do feel a tad sticky at first but it drys and all is good. I do find they are pretty long lasting and they one wear down a little. They do transfer a samll amount all my cups and forks all had lipstick marks. Not full on marks but little bits. More so the darker shades. Even with that transfer they still last a long time. Try to keep off any oily food too cause that brakes down the formula .
They all apply well, The formula is thick but you only need a little of the product . They dry well but if there is to much product in clumps it will not dry well . So keep it super light. Also they all have that sweet smell of cakes. Which kind ,I can not quite place but they smell so good!

There is a nice mix of shades, Some are nice and bright and you have your more toned down shades , I will say I found the images on the website rather lighter on the model/ lips. It might just be me but I found them slightly darker in shade. But again that could be me.  I also love the cute heart text fonts going on here too! CUTE!

This is the packaging here as you can see its your doe foot stick applicator  and when you open it the smell is yum! Also please be careful not to load up the doe foot of product and always make sure you screw the lid back on tight!

Where are my Swatches of the shades left to right we have copy and paste , creme de la creme,  Foreva eva, QT, low Key , jelly , legit, sweet tooth and power trip. Out of them all I would say my go to shades are legit and power trip and then it would be creme de la creme and sweet tooth. To be honest I like them all it is some times hard to pick which ones to wear.

Compared to the other brands I use I do like these. I like the formula. They do last a long time and slightly transfer like Jeffree stars ones. So far I have not found a lippy that has as much staying power as Beauty Bakeries ones. But I do enjoy these ones as they are cute, quirky and smell like cakes! And the shades are every day shades you could get away with or a little something to brighten up your day!

So over all I would give these a 9 out of 10 Kawaii stars!

Drug store make up - impressions

So I got a few items of make up from a product haul that are mainly high street drug store ones. Mainly being good old barry M and NYX from boots. I put in a order as I was needing to stock up on some basics and needed to save on some money as I wanted to buy some more Jeffree star products. Jeffree Star is my got too indie brand but more on that later.

So I got hold of some products foundation and foundation powder from barry M which I used as my every day make up for Kawaii mummy mode. I not got time to waste my good make up on the school run and not fussed to much if it lasts all day or not. I use different foundations for different things . So I got my typical shade and a slightly darker one in the liquid as I seem to have tanned in this Scottish weather. Wait what? So that's the basic stuff out the way , I also got 2 items on the offer that was one.

One is a HUGE bronze powder and one is a strobe cream thing. The glow bronze powder is basic simple to use and the shade is pretty and gives a nice glow. I like to use it when I don't have much time for a full face and it does the job.

The strobe cream stick . I wanted to like it. But I hated it, It fell off the stick when I opened the lid off. I managed to save it and yea its nothing much I was really disappointed in it that product I thought it was gona be good but no its in the bin. Never mind.

Next up the the brand NYX that was from boots online too. I got a eye concealer, I wanted to get rid of those dark eye designer hand bags but found this to be super heavy on my 1st try and it made more creases under my eyes so I will give it a other go but am not to impressed with it. Update. I have reused this now but again getting the same issues however its been better to use this as a cover up concealer for those sneaky blemishes that have surfaced of late.

The other thing I got that is NYX  was the tango with bronzing powder , which is a fancy compact and I got the one in the animal print style powder- yest that was a selling point for me . Its a nice product I have used is a fair few times now. However I found it way to dark in the pink/peach shade that I found it became more of a glowing blusher for me . But I do love the dark pink/ peach shade its very pretty. It came in a normal sided pan and had a mirror in the compact with the brush inside. Handy for on the go!

I also got a Illuminator highlight product from NYX as I was mega worried about my Jeffree star  skin frost being broken due to a issue of a bunch of orders being dropped on the delivery side of things. So I thought I would get a back up and also all the shades I wanted sold out in like 10 mins so I thought this would work until I saved up for more JSC.

So I got the shade Riualistic- which has a golden sheen . Its very pretty and has a nice pay off in colour and I rather like this also the fact that its not crazy in price either and would say the pan is about a normal size. I think its a nice back up product to use or a spare . Or a nice starter highlighting product if you are new to highlighting. I did however find it a little chalky and had to blend it right in/

Finally I got a new setting spray, I normally use Neves own one, but I ran out and wanted to try a new one for a change and got the NYX  matte one. I have used this a handful of times . I often forget to use my spray which is why its only been a few times of using this but so far I quite like it. I used it on a 5K fun run with inflatable objects to climb over and after doing that and till the end of the day my make up was still in one place ,not much was on to being with as I was doing this event and didnt want panda eyes or anything haha.

So this is my mini haul of items and my thoughts on them I know NYX themselves state to be animal cruelty free but their mother company is not. Which kinda sucks but hey ho I do try my best to find more affordable animal cruelty UK brands that I personally like. Barry M is a animal cruelty free company.

Let's Talk Too Faced - First Impressions

Let's talk Too Faced, so there is a company called Too Faced. I came across them a few months ago. I know, I know they have been around a while but I only got into really into the make up game this year. What ever. So I took a deep breathe and grudged paying around 39 quid for eye shadow. Now I did the month before spend like 30 quid on 3 palettes on a low end budget eye make up and they were utter crap and there was many saying they were great dupes for too faced. HAHA yeah. How about no. Any way I decided why not? I had earned a little extra money last month so why not.

My Animal Cruelty free Make up list

So this  post here is my findings on companies who are Animal Cruelty free and / or have Vegan products on sale too. Many are swapping to products and companies who are against Animal testing.
Since last year I also decided to swap my make up to cruelty free as well as my house hold products which is still a on going progress. Being a person who respects and adores animals the thought of some sweet creature being tested on for luxury or high street branded make up just to be smeared on my face for me, just to enhance my features at the cost of such torture .I will be honest it boils my blood and the process is totally not Kawaii!

Animal Curelty Free and/or Vegan Make up

Oh what a path I have found myself on! As an animal lover the thought of furry babies being put through tests just for us to look pretty is a pet hate of mine. Personal thing. So I do favour my own make up to be animal cruelty free and it is Vegan that's a added bonus too.

For years I have used brands that I did not fully know ,were still testing on animals for the sake of make up. The only brand I knew that was cruelty free and accessible was good old BarryM, but I some times don't like the stuff they come out with or do not have the shade am after . However I do these days use them as my basics, Foundation , powder, eye-liner, Yuno the things I use for that everyday make up. OH and of course the nail paints or nail polish is a winner too. As its affordable and easy to get hold of too. More so when it something your going to run out, most of all . So I want to be able to pick it up easy as and when.

However some times I want something that little bit more different or try a other brand with the same enthics so here is a few other brands I have tried myself with my thoughts on them and the products. Most of these are USA makes which is a tad annoying due to shipping. I do though have 2 UK online stores who can help us out with that.

So here is a list of the brands I have discovered and what I think of them!

My Melody all the pink things!

I love pink, but I could not pin down it as my favourite shade cause I love every colour. At the moment it is Pastels am so addicted to pastel shades! I guess this is where My Melody comes in. I wanted to share with you a new product I got. It is from a ebay shop based in Japan and the seller is very helpful and has provide me with a wonderful service that I keep returning to spend all my money on cute stuff!

From Sanrio's Hello Kitty to Disney Japan and even Pokemon there is a lot of things for you to let your eyes gaze over and admire. Any way the product I wanted to share with you all is a My Melody product*.

If I said . I totally did not but this due to the packaging , I would be a really bad lair.. . OF COURSE I BOUGHT IT FOR THE CUTE PACKAGING!
Its not just something that looks cute as it do have a use as well, this 3D shaped my melody hold in side her hand cream! And wait what? I  just happened to have run out of mine. Who am I trying to kid here? lol No honest I have run outta hand cream it was a boot's own range one. I clearly needed to give this a Kawaii make over by buying this one!

So this item took about a week to arrive, I had tracking on this so I could check up on the status of the order when ever I wanted and also ordered a small plush to add to my collection . My items came well packed in a small box and the items were wrapped up inside. The My Melody item was presented in a see through clear box . It is on the small side but soo cute! The 3D shape of Melody is so sweet sitting on my dresser .

The hand cream is peach in scent and is lovely its quite a think mixture so a little goes a long way. Its also not sticky either. I find some can be sticky on the hands. It seems to absorb well into the skin and I love the smell.I try and use it before I do my nails and such to give my hands some TLC But I just adore this product so much.

It also helps having such a trust worthy seller, who runs the shop on Ebay and would go out their way to help you.  So I would say this is my high recommended Ebay seller for all your Kawaii needs! You can also find the other kawaii Sanrio products featured with this My Melody Hand Cream at the same Ebay sellers shop!

Enjoy

Kawaii Make up products from Korea

Hello every cutie, Welcome to a other make up haul of Kawaii make-up this time these brand names are from korea. I do like to use these brands mainly for when doing a more inspired look when working with wigs. But not only that I also like to try new and cute looking products. I do like our own brands here over in the UK but being the make up / Kawaii junkie I am . I can not help but pick these up and give them a try. So I wanted to share with you my finding.
I actually purchased the make up over 2 months ago which has given me time to play and try these products out. So lets have a look at them. All products are from Beauty Net Korea.

First up we have a Holika Holika lipstick, Heartful moisture lipstick ( from miss holika collection.)
In the purple shade of miss holika. A vibrant colour that has moistening properties. Very easy to use and apply and very soft on the lips. I love the shape of the heart on the lipstick itself which is a bit of a novelty and reason I bought it. The only thing I do not like is the fact its a small size for a lipstick.

This next item here is a Tear Eye Liner. So this is meant to make your eyes look teary- eyed and sparkle. I was not sure what to expect  with this but it really is just glitter in a clear liquid liner that you use. I find it fades off really quick but it do give a really pretty effect on the eyes. So this was a non winner for me. I may look into other options as in make up or in kawaii make up having tear eyes and big eyes are considered Kawaii.  I may try and give an 'under eye marker'' a shot next time.

This third item is BB cream, The Princess Happy Ending collection by Etude House. I have used  Precious Mineral BB cream before and loved it. So I thought I would buy the Princess one and there is not much difference in the product apart form the bottle design , for some reason this was like a pond less than the original one. It did come in a story book packaging style box which was cute!
The product is light weight and easy to apply and feels really nice on, you can use it on its own as well.

Have any of my readers tried any of these products? What did you think of them?
What other products would you like to hear my thoughts on?

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Review.

Hey every one- how are you all, So here is a insight review to some new products I have been loving this month and last month. Yes I know more make-up am such a junkie and love discovering new make up. So lets talk about  Lunatick Comestic Labs or LCL for short.
Lunastick comestic labs is a handmade indie brand who are a brand that are 100% vegan and Animal cruelty free.  They seem like a creepy cute style and so far have a good size range of eyeshadows, lippys and new products coming soon. I order my items on line and was looking at the time for a new liquid to matt lippy, but so far I only found JSC are living up to my requirements for that. But I found a recommendation for these more for the shades BUT these lippys are not Matt finish.

As you can see I have 4 of the Apocalipslick products. I have range of shades a brown shade, coral, pink and red/pink.
I have been having lots of fun with these. The items come as they are sealed and have a ingredients   list on the side that comes off with the seal, these are described as creamy  and ultra pigmented. And they SURE ARE!

This is the shade Crypt Cream, a nude and coral shade, this is the one shade I used so much of late! I am in love with this. It is great for every day wear. I do favour my bright shades of pink and red . So wearing this was out my comfort zone . Even got comments of others noticing my change in colour shades! What I like is these are a nice size product with a doe stick applier, there is no need to pack on the colour cause its bursting with colour even for a nude/ coral shade.

This shade was the first one I bought, I really liked the MUA academy brownish shades that I guess pushed me to buy this one. It is called  Renegrade and is said to be a nude brown. Its not overly nude but it is also not overly brown it seems to be a nice balanced shade. I have only tried it twice but really want to create a look with this shade. I also noticed each shade has a different scent , no nasty smells, I think some are watermelon, mint and maybe peppermint. Which makes these even more amazing!

Next up is the newest one I have just got this month and it is called pout off,  This is a shade of bright pink, and its a pink even Barbie would be jealous of! It sure is bright and maybe neon ish? It looked so weird on me. I did sway about buying this one as it looked more purple looking on the swatch on the website. But after following the company instagram account and saw regrams of this shade that pushed me to buying this shade. I gotta say its a awesome ,fun and bright shade I wana say its more a baby bright pink shade. I want to use it but it might be to bright for the school run!

And the last shade here is Succubus listed as a medium fuchsia pink , I found it was more a red/pink shade, I was not keen on this shade at the start but I have grown fund of the shade over time and  am sure this one smells of the watermelon. I really like the name of this one hehe!

All of these are creamy as I have said they last about 4 hours and leave a after stain colour to the  it looks like the colour stays on the lips for me about 6 hours even with food and drink but at close up they do need a wee touch up,but they are easy to apply but you do not need to load up the doe brush for colour cause they are full of colour, I would not say they are kiss proof (until they become to the stain on your lip stage ) and when eating and drink you need to watch a little bit there but I really love my little collection of these beauties.- I really like these that I would recommend them to a friend.

After falling in love with these - I wanted to give the eye shadows a shot, I have a soft spot for this creepy cute coffin style palette in the shade supernatural , Which you have guessed it its natural colours. I picked this one but it was a tough choice cause I liked the look of the other shades.

As you can see the palette is very spooky looking and vamp, haha I really love it not what you might expect from me but I do have a soft spot for creepy like stuff . The under side of the lid even has bat shaped mirror to use.

See those glass things on top of the shadows? Those are powder pressers for each shadow. The shodows are super super soft maybe its best to pick these as a loose item- am not sure but you do have your powder press tools to pat the powder back in its wee section in the coffin palette. I did do a swatch but my camera battery gave up on me and no photo but theres are super soft and really pretty but you have to take care with them being soo soft and store them well to keep the in tack.

The colours are called Invocation ,Myth, Spook, Reincarnation Ghoulight. Am loving them !

I think the middle one Spook is my fave shade,I adore rusty looking shades for a grunge like look and these naturals are soo pretty. Am sure to use this for natural looks as well. I would recommend storing this flat to avoid any mishaps with the super soft colours.

Will I be buying any more from this brand. I think am gona enjoy what I have and see what new colours of the Apocalipstick comes out with as well as the new bullet lipsticks that are due out soon!

Kawaii NEW make up Haul

And so about a week ago, I did a order with cutECOmestics, a UK retailer who sell vegan and or cruelty free products. These range from Badger balm to Sugarpill .
This is my second order from the company. The website is easy to use and the process is simple enough. Shipping is pretty fast about 3 days for shipping. And it all comes in a large package.
I will be making a future purchase with this company again as I like the range that have but a lot of the products are sold out (*_*).
This came inc postage around £20-25 . I think, I really cant mind haahaa.  So Manga brows is a interesting product. It is made by Neve Cometics and is a double ended brow pencil- all in the name there Manga brows. So one end is a light brown the other dark and one lid cap has a hidden brow brush. It is meant to give you more 3D manga like brows.

I can not tell is this is a product I like, Ever since I been using the Barry M brow kit I found it gives such a nice brow shape to my brows I have favoured it more and its half the price too. But After playing about with the Manga Brows I have found it gives a soft natural shade in colours , its much quicker and easier to use. I do not have much time for make up every school morning having to be organising every one out the door on time . So I guess its a handy item to have. More so with it being double ended and the hidden brush so that it save time hunting for the right pencil and brush in the morning - still half asleep and wanting just to go back to bed. Am not a morning person! I did find this might be a little over priced but hey your allowed a treat once in a while.
It's totally worth checking out the eye shadow pallets by Neve too if you get the chance!

Moving on is Concrete Minerals eye shadow in shade trouble maker.  A other Vegan and Cruelty-Free product. This is a medium brow with gold through it. I wanted to try the products out from this company and expand my make up product range . I was drawn to this one and a other one which I would like to buy later called Hustle. I have worn it twice so far and its a very nice product, very light to wear and you can build up the colour . I liked to ware it lighter on my lids as it looked more black that brown when I added more colour.  I can not say for sure if its a keeper for my make up bag but I do want to try the other shades or maybe splash out on a bundle set.

So the last time is an Apocalipstick- that's a mouthful to say this .Which is by Lunastick cosmetics Labs.It is the shade Slick Crytp Cream. Its a coral pink with a hint of nude , I guess is the only way to describe it. This is a liquid lippy. But GASP! its not one that turns to a Matt finish , just a normal lippy finish. This is my 3rd one I might even do a blog post on all of them cause I love them so much. Even though I favour matt finish. This is also not a shade I would normally pick but it reminded me of a cheap high street drug store colour that I really liked,so I wanted to have some thing that was well, not as cheap and would last . Am not looking at any brand in particular *cough* MUA Academy *cough*. This is a nice replacement and lasts a good 4-6 hours on and when it wears off it still has a tint of the shade left on your lips and is very nice to wear. Its one of my faves this month!

Any way that's my insight to my Haul of new Make up I have a other haul to show you and pass on my Kawaii wisdom of it all and hope your excited to see it as its all make up products from Korea!

Kawaii First Impressions - make up, MUA Academy

Hey every one, today I wanted to share my impression of MUA Academy make-up.

So kinda a review but not quite right into details. I don't want to bore you all to death here. So I went ahead after reading a good few reviews about these high street drug store cosmetics and a lot of folks saying they were good , blah, blah did not take me long to part with my money after having a look at the website they have. The best thing was the price that attracted me to purchase some products mainly the  MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer. The shades looked really nice I got the following shades of.
A Flush, Criminal,  Kooky, Reckless, Tranquillity, Serene and Halycon. So basically them all apart form Funk and Dare. ( which I may think about as they are darker shades.)
I also got 4 lip liners BB Cream and a powder.

The BB Cream and powder are just fillers till next month or the next until I can save up for a more expensive favoured brand and the shipping takes a while so yea, not gona say much about those.Having used the BB cream which has a matt finish its no half bad.

The lip liners are pretty good nice and easy to apply I like the shades I picked  which are Pink me up ,Softly lined  being the pink ones and Caramel nougat in a nude-ish brown shade and Brooding-plum a sorta purple/ redish shade. I wanted them to try and to use with some make up I already have.

I like them all apart from softly lined it barely shows up and way to shimmery and yea really not suited for my olive yet pale skin and my lips also it seemed a bit harsher to use . Any way the all come with a top that doubles up as a sharpener which is handy for travel or if you can not find your pencil sharpener to save your life and its that one time you need the tiny thing!

Okay so lets talk pinks!
Moving on to the pink shades from the Luxe Velvets, Which are A flush, Serene and Criminal.

Serene- is a light pink more a baby pink shade, I though I would like this one. Once I applied it it was very annoying to get right, then when I pulled the applier stick out  ,the liquid when all over me. You can just imagen me covered in the stuff , maybe it is a good thing cause thecolour did not quite suit me. I find that with very pastel like shades. *tear* So yea...it made me look like a pale clown.

The next shade was A flush-Its a light pink shade much darker than Serene but not bright neon pink or anything. I loved the shade one. YAY I was super happy with the colour and it did not spill its liquid all over me either. However I did notice after only putting it on letting it dry to its matt final form...I pressed my lips together and flakes. GAH!! I was really in hope this was a gona be my dupe for limecrime but no. I duno if this is because I was trying all the shades one after a other. So am gona give it anther shot or find something to seal it from flaking?! Also I was being pestered by little chibi bean who was driving me up the wall since she got in from nursery. That could also be a factor. ( It most likey is not an additional factor in the flaking of the product but she was really pestering me! Kawaii mummy problems.)

The next shade is Criminal- a bright pink shade that is nice and Barbie bright.LOVED THIS one! Right up my street, Pink , cute, and loud but not neon pink , thankfully. So this one when on well and seems to not flake as much as the A flush. Which is good news! So am really happy with this one.

The next shades are more earthly nude shades, something I have not really used before and I thought they looked a lot like limecrime ones and the hinted one by jeffree star cometics so I wanted to try them for my self and see if I suited the shades. So Halcyon and Tranquillity looked the same on the website image which was sorta annoying but after looking at other images online they are quite diffrent. This might be due to the frosted tube they come in.

Any way the shade Tranquillity is the lightest shade of the two, it applied well. I applied them all with and with out a lip balm base and there was no change to them. I did find also Tranquillity did flake a bit too so  that was sorta annoying, All I did was the morning school run! But I really did take a liking to the colour was not in your face or anything but quite a subtle shade
Moving on to Halcyon which was more a deeper and darker shade, I really surprisingly liked it, I did take note that this one didnt want to flake as much as the other one. which makes me think the lighter shades flake more? Am not sure yet, I have not tried eating and drinking with these .

The last to shades where Kooky and Reckless. Which were more of a deep purple and red shade . From the tube Kooky looks bright and a colour that would pop. It is not, it is very purple and very dark, I really like it though, and it seems not to flake when dry. I also thought Reckless was a colour that might pop being red. Nope. Its a other deep shade a earthly red shade, but again I really like it. I normally much favour bright reds and pinks over deep dark shades but after trying these I think I might try other shades in the future.

For £3 a tube of Luxe Velvet, its not bad for the prince.
Not the most amazing product, but its okay since they did not cost to much what can you expect. I guess you would get a few hours wear before touching them up. I felt you really had to sit and look like a duck face till they dried , press those lips together and it seem to mess them up a bit. I think they are great for some one who wants to try new shades and get to experiment with colours. I will defo be looking for a way to get these shades to last longer but as for that baby pink shade I can see me tossing that one right in the bucket. I did find that after eating and drinking the product came off a bit ..meh My final thoughts are am digging the the shades of those matt liquid lipsticks but the staying power is pretty poor which is a total downer.

I have also found that Sleek also do a Liquid to Matt finish product, Again there is a few folks complaining of the flaking problem. I am wondering if this is the draw back of products that cost less? What are your thoughts and what Makeup products would you like me to try next. Will I ever find a replacement for Limecrime?!

Thoughts on Venus - Kawaii make up

Hey every one- Happy new year!
Its 2015 and am starting it with a bang, I will be away on holiday . But I will tell you all-l about it when am back.
I wanted to do a post on Lime crime's new ( well newish) Pallet of eye shadow Venus. I been following lime crime for a bitty now and really liked using the lippys and the other ones the velvetines.
(see my past post here!)
So after seeing the newest pallet be announced and then see the colours I was rather excited, I awaited the date and time like a hawk for its release. I got mine in the basket right away online as quickly it went up it was out of stock.  I felt very lucky to now mine was shipped and on its way.

So what attracted me to this. well in a word ,shade-  the colours they look like natural shades but with a twist. They look rusty and warm and so pretty. I never used any colours like this before nor do I now how to use them so I was pretty worried looking like some 5 year old kid let loose in a make up department.
As well these were not the sorta shades for my own style - being Kawaii and all these were more for Grunge 90's looks but I liked them so much. I figured who cares!?

So once my order came, it cost me $42 by the way, yup I took a splurge here and it was about $10 for shipping too. I was pretty happy it came in a white box and inside it was all decorative with logos and flowers and my order was neatly wrapped. I have had no issues with shipping or ordering from Limecrime direct. Shipping took a while but it was coming form the USA - am being honest here.

Personally I really do not like the box, Venus on it bugs me-its not my taste and its not very Kawaii but hey we can not win it all now can we?
So with the box design art not winning any points from me you do get a mirror inside which is handy and its is a nice size not to bulky either. Moving on the colours , I LOVE EM, they are so modern and pretty I love them all apart from Muse, Muse and I don't get along to well. Maybe am using it wrong but its rather harsh looking. Every other shade is great and the Venus, Rebirth and Aura are my personal fave's.
Easy to apply and blend to create the styles and looks you want, you can use em together to made other shades too. I use Icon a lot for my brows too.  They are long lasting and more so with the help of the use of primer any brand I use both Limecrime and urban decay.  Lots of pigment and rather eye catching- I got a lot of comments when wearing these. Don't worry nice ones lol.
I did have a hunt for a dupe pallet for these but nothing turned up but I did find Sauce Box- forbidden fruits is a great pallet to complement Venus in your collection of eye shadows. I found that more and most Pallets of natural shades look very cool and tones are cold which do not go well with my slightly olive complexion. (imo- as i am no make up expert here lol!) Outta ten am giving this a big nine! It looses a point for that art deco thing going on the front of the box but I guess it makes it easy to find in the make up drawer!

Have you used Limecrime Venus yet or is it on your wish list?
Keep it Kawaii!!

Kawaii Pastels fashion on the highstreet

Hello every cutie.
How are you all doing. I thought I would share some Kawaii fashion finds that you can get on the local high street brands and some online retailers too. There is still a lot of Pastel shades in the shops. I guess with it bring spring every one likes to wear pastel shades.
And then there is me shying away from them and picking more bolder shades to wear, personally I do not think I suit pastel colours. But I do like looking at them and think they look super cute too.

I spotted this cute powder pink cross over bag from Boohoo.com. And I love the shade and style of this bag and its a steal at a mere £15!

The other thing that has surfaced to the fashion world is the Wrapped skorts and skorts.
Looks like a wrapped/skirt but worn like shorts. These are not new, I used to own a pair once upon a time but what I love about them is the fact when there was no worry of the wind to catch your skirt . They are so Kawaii!  Yay! I hope they catch on again hehe.
Mind you am not very keen on the Wrap style.

The other thing that I found was cute beanie hats that still are found in the shops, no wonder it feels like spring and summer are so far away! Its not been a nice start to the year weather wise. But this spring themed daisy cosy beanie hat has caught my eye. It is so adorable looking. You can find it in River Island by the way.

A other cute bag I found was from Boohoo.com again. I find that place can be a hit or a miss but then I guess it depends on what you are buying however I saw this and thought it was super cute a Lavender shade back pack. I really like its colour and the over all style of it .

It would be pretty cool to use it as a school or collaged bag. And a nice change from the dull back ones. hehe.

To keep with the spring time pastel themes here I found this cute hair band. Which is rabbit ears with Daisy flower heads on the ears. from River island. Hehe its adorable and would make a cute hair statement and for a themed Easter picnic too.

There is so many cute things in the shops right now, its just a case of keeping a kawaii eye open.

Oh and don't forget about your chemists and make up sections in stores because they also have jumped into spring! With really nice pastel shades, colours and textures in nail polish and there is some really cute baby pinks in the blusher counters and sweet soft mints and baby blues for your eyes!
For example look at this stunning pallet by Barry M and its cute packaging too, Kyaa!

I do like seeing these pastels and spring themed items at this time of the year - it gives a bit of hope to warmer weather to come and I look forward to wearing more dresses and skirts in the year too. Have you already picked up your pastel shades in your own styles and fashions or are you looking for more bold colours and prints for spring?!
