OMG, who else loves pin badges?!
And more so that now kawaii artists are now putting their art on to pins! I am in heaven. I mind when I was a kid and my 1st pin was a CATS Musical pin. I still have it . I wanted more but my folks would be like they are pins , they are sharp so no. Gutted. I kinda forgot about pins as an accessories until of late and love that they are cute quirky and super kawaii . I also noted that Button badges are coming back in again! ( Who else used to fill up the school tie with buttons being all edgy !LOL! Do kids still do that?!)

So last month at the end of it , I went along to Resonate Gaming festival. In Glasgow. It was a weekend event but I and my dear gal pal could only make it the Saturday. Yuno cause being a Kawaii mum has its ties and responsibility but that aside I got the event.
We traveled via train which was nice for a change as we both met at the station and chatted on the train.Something I don't often get the luxary of and it was great to catch up with my pal. We got to Glasgow Central and jumped on to the next train to get us to the SECC ( 2 stops away) And then it was a very short walk along the tunnel to the event .

Normally it is not something I do off the bat. But after checking the book I was some what delighted by this simple story but very interesting art by the artist Naoshi.

Hey guys and gurls. How are you all. So today I wanted to share with ya about a upcoming event that I am planning on checking out. The event is a huge 3 day event in July. Right at the end of the month 29-31 to be exact. Held at Glasgows SECC. Now I have been only to one gaming style festival and really enjoyed it. I was with the cosplay team. This event however has no cosplay as such but it seems to be highly encouraged to come along to the event in cosplay. As am planning to go its been a while since I have been in cosplay. Am thinking of a j- fashion or something.
That aside I find not many take me as a gamer. Don't get me wrong am not a mega ultra super serious style gamer or anything but I sure do love and enjoy all kinds of games from playing Nintendo to the Xbox. I might be slightly out of date not having the most up to date consoles but I do love and have a soft spot for the cute style fun games on the Wii U. Also I also have a soft spot for old games and retro ones I love the old school charm from them games even if I still am pretty much rubbish at the games. LOL! Also I don't come across - well I do not think I come across as a gamer, But am a bit of a Kawaii geeky gamer hahaha..

So I got a few items of make up from a product haul that are mainly high street drug store ones. Mainly being good old barry M and NYX from boots. I put in a order as I was needing to stock up on some basics and needed to save on some money as I wanted to buy some more Jeffree star products. Jeffree Star is my got too indie brand but more on that later.
So I got hold of some products foundation and foundation powder from barry M which I used as my every day make up for Kawaii mummy mode. I not got time to waste my good make up on the school run and not fussed to much if it lasts all day or not. I use different foundations for different things . So I got my typical shade and a slightly darker one in the liquid as I seem to have tanned in this Scottish weather. Wait what? So that's the basic stuff out the way , I also got 2 items on the offer that was one.
One is a HUGE bronze powder and one is a strobe cream thing. The glow bronze powder is basic simple to use and the shade is pretty and gives a nice glow. I like to use it when I don't have much time for a full face and it does the job.
The strobe cream stick . I wanted to like it. But I hated it, It fell off the stick when I opened the lid off. I managed to save it and yea its nothing much I was really disappointed in it that product I thought it was gona be good but no its in the bin. Never mind.
Next up the the brand NYX that was from boots online too. I got a eye concealer, I wanted to get rid of those dark eye designer hand bags but found this to be super heavy on my 1st try and it made more creases under my eyes so I will give it a other go but am not to impressed with it. Update. I have reused this now but again getting the same issues however its been better to use this as a cover up concealer for those sneaky blemishes that have surfaced of late.
The other thing I got that is NYX was the tango with bronzing powder , which is a fancy compact and I got the one in the animal print style powder- yest that was a selling point for me . Its a nice product I have used is a fair few times now. However I found it way to dark in the pink/peach shade that I found it became more of a glowing blusher for me . But I do love the dark pink/ peach shade its very pretty. It came in a normal sided pan and had a mirror in the compact with the brush inside. Handy for on the go!
I also got a Illuminator highlight product from NYX as I was mega worried about my Jeffree star skin frost being broken due to a issue of a bunch of orders being dropped on the delivery side of things. So I thought I would get a back up and also all the shades I wanted sold out in like 10 mins so I thought this would work until I saved up for more JSC.
So I got the shade Riualistic- which has a golden sheen . Its very pretty and has a nice pay off in colour and I rather like this also the fact that its not crazy in price either and would say the pan is about a normal size. I think its a nice back up product to use or a spare . Or a nice starter highlighting product if you are new to highlighting. I did however find it a little chalky and had to blend it right in/
Finally I got a new setting spray, I normally use Neves own one, but I ran out and wanted to try a new one for a change and got the NYX matte one. I have used this a handful of times . I often forget to use my spray which is why its only been a few times of using this but so far I quite like it. I used it on a 5K fun run with inflatable objects to climb over and after doing that and till the end of the day my make up was still in one place ,not much was on to being with as I was doing this event and didnt want panda eyes or anything haha.
So this is my mini haul of items and my thoughts on them I know NYX themselves state to be animal cruelty free but their mother company is not. Which kinda sucks but hey ho I do try my best to find more affordable animal cruelty UK brands that I personally like. Barry M is a animal cruelty free company.

Ahhh. I forgot to post about one of my most exciting event this year! -My bad.
Any way back in April, I went to the 1st Insomnia Gaming festival in Scotland. Which was rather exciting. I never done a Gaming festival before and I had been invited by the cosplay team as a Judge for the cosplay masquerade and community guest. It was such a huge event and took up all the space at the events place at EICC in Edinburgh.
I was in cosplay, There was a fair few others in cosplay also. I was both Sailor Moon and Asuna from Sword Art Online. I also had a personal photographer with me the full weekend and did lots of photo shoots. As well I was playing , trying ans testing out lots of games. I also was on stage with the rest of the cosplay crew and we did a panel on Cosplay . And I also met some new folks and hung out with fellow cosplayers. I really enjoyed my time at the event and I have a vlog and video on my you tube for you all to check out. As I kinda forgot of all the stuff that went on you can check it out on those!
As well I have been busy with a few other things, Such as modelling wigs from the amazing UK kawaii fashion store Cutesty Kink! And am still working my way through the shoots and images of such cute and harajuku style like wigs. Which as so worth checking out. Also I have been working on some clothing model work with Cutesy Kink as well. Something I have not done before- As I only did wigs in the past! So it was a learning curve for me.
So I had fun with cute tops and jumpers that look like they have come right off the streets of Harajuku and the other stuff is the Pusheen range of cute and adorable tops! Which every thing is so cute and super soft when worn.
What else is new with me? Well not very much apart form modelling and indulging in Kawaii fashions and make up. School has been pretty demanding and with meetings and appointments so I really not had much time to get anything else sorted. However am in hope to get some more blog posts up for you all really soon and share kawaii stuff with you all . So this is a pretty short and sweet post!
So am gona catch you guys later!

Let's talk Too Faced, so there is a company called Too Faced. I came across them a few months ago. I know, I know they have been around a while but I only got into really into the make up game this year. What ever. So I took a deep breathe and grudged paying around 39 quid for eye shadow. Now I did the month before spend like 30 quid on 3 palettes on a low end budget eye make up and they were utter crap and there was many saying they were great dupes for too faced. HAHA yeah. How about no. Any way I decided why not? I had earned a little extra money last month so why not.

S'up my Kawaii kittens, if you follow me about you will see that over at Cyten I did a post on basic Kawaii make up. Here in this post is a more in depth make up guide on doing Kawaii make up and Kawaii looks that you can try and play with. I always say that your make up can really bring a outfit of a style together and really give it that extra wow factor. But hey if you are not keen on make up that is all fine too, its not a rule or anything.
So lets get on to the kawaii make up guide.
Am gona base this on the more tone down Japanese fashions and trends and it gives you a great basic knowledge to work with and experiment with when you feel ready to do so. Am also gona just say am not a Make up artist just a really big fan of make up.
Also most of the stuff you have maybe learn from our style of make up is barely used so be ready to try some new things...

Hello Kawaii Kitten's.
Today we have a review post. It has been a while since I been posting, right? That cause I have been super busy with cosplay and conventions and having so much fun . But don't worry am most active on my Instagram so yeah don't forget to follow it and see the madness I get up too.
My box came the other day, It comes in a cute white box that has a logo like ribbon printed on it - so its not hard to miss. Its also not a chunky style box so if you are out the mail/post man can post it . Or in my case he rings the bell and hands it over just cause he likes to have a chat in the mornings.
Moving on to the review...

So this year, its my year of conventions this year. Starting off with a Edinburgh based one called Capital Sci Fi Con. Which you guessed it was mainly about all things Geeky and Sci Fi. For this Con I made up a (Fem) Darth Vader Causal Cosplay. Which was really weird for me cause I had not idea how I would act or be like as Vader . I mean am a huge fan of Lord Vader but yeah am more your magical hero girl than anything like that . So that was really weird for me. However I did get to meet up with tons of fellow cos players whom I have not seen in ages and hang out with my deco girly pal too. It was also super nice meeting new folks at the Con as well as hanging out with those I already have mingled and chilled with before.

Okay so as much as I love my Kawaii fashions and all. At heart am a lover of that grunge look.
When am not dressed up in my Kawaii style .I am in Grunge mode. Unless is a really lazy day and I throw on a hoodie and refuse to pull down my hood for the outside world and hide until I feel I am human enough to return. Aye. So. Let's talk Grunge fashion and the things I really like. Well 1st off Grunge blends into Hipster style a bit with other styles ( emo. scene, gothic blah blah and so on.) Which is pretty handy if you want to explore styles too. But I love the lazy-chilled look it gives off. When am not being Tartan and all Kawaii . I love to be pretty chilled out.

I was pretty excited to get this months Tokyo Treat box, It came in the post a few days ago and yummy so many cool snacks for Japan to make your mouth water. Also there was a hint of love and valentines theme to the box this time - as most of the candy or snacks where pink, sweet and love themed and lots of chocolates!
Look how colourful these boxes are?!
